Gloria Allred is coming to the Lobero Theatre

Dear Friend of Standing Together to End Sexual Assault,

We continue to see unprecedented awareness at a local, state and national level about the issue of sexual violence.  Examples have been the news stories about high profile rape and sexual harassment cases in the entertainment industry, in politics, and news media.  The #MeToo, #WeSaidEnough and #TimesUp movements have focused attention on the issue.

Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA) and Santa Barbara Women Lawyers (SBWL) are proud to present an evening with Gloria Allred at the Lobero Theatre on January 17, 2019.  Ms. Allred is a civil rights attorney, notable for taking high-profile and often controversial cases, particularly those involving the protection of women’s rights.  Among many others, she has advocated against O. J. Simpson, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Scott Petersen, and Roman Polanski, among many others.

We hope you will join us for an evening which promises to be illuminating, thought-provoking and unapologetic.  Ms. Allred will share her experiences of fighting for justice.  According to Ms. Allred, “I start every day with the knowledge that helping people and fighting for justice is my duty and that nothing worthwhile comes without sacrifice, self-discipline, and courage”.  Ms. Allred has received many accolades for her recent Netflix documentary Seeing Allred.

STESA and SBWL are offering two special sponsorship packages to a limited number of people that will benefit these organizations directly and locally:
